Description
H13 Steel Round Bar 305 Dia, DIN 1.2344 Steel at the best price in India.
We have a leading stockist of imported and Indian-made H13 Steel Round Bar /DIN 1.2344 Steel.
H13 Tool Steel is a versatile molybdenum and chromium-based hot work steel.
They widely used it in hot work and cold work tooling applications.
The hot hardness (hot strength) of H13 steel resists thermal fatigue cracking, which occurs as a result of cyclic heating and cooling cycles in hot work tooling applications.
because of its excellent combination of high toughness and resistance to thermal fatigue cracking (also known as heat checking).
They used h13 for more hot work tooling applications than any other tool steel.
because of its high toughness and very good stability in heat treatment.
H13 Steel Round Bars are also used in a variety of cold work tooling applications.
In these applications, H13 steel provides better hardenability (through hardening in large section thicknesses) and better wear resistance than common alloy steels, such as 4140.
H13 steel hot die steel round bar is also available as ESR grade (Electro-Slag-Remelted grade steel).
The H13 Steel Round Bar is also available in VAR grade.
Vacuum-Arc-Remelted products as well.
The remelting processes provide improved mechanical properties and chemical homogeneity.
ESR processes provide for the refinement of carbide size and the associated improvements in fatigue properties.

APPLICATIONS of H13 Steel Round Bar:-
- make Inserts for high performances.
- you can cores.
- high-performance cavities for die casting dies.
- die casting shot sleeves.
- excellent for hot forging dies.
- extrusion dies.
- high-temperature plastic mold cavities.
- plastic Dies components that require high toughness.
- Excellent polish ability.
Preheating:-
For normal tools, use only the second temperature range as a single preheating treatment.
Austenitizing (High Heat):-
an interrupted oil quench to get maximum hardness, toughness, and resistance to thermal fatigue cracking.
For pressurized gas quenching, a minimum quench rate of approximately 50°F per minute (28°C per minute) to below 1000°F (538°C) is required to get the optimum properties of the steel.
For oil, quench until black, about 900°F (482°C), then cool in still air to 150-125°F (66-51°C).
Tempering: Temper immediately after quenching. The typical tempering range is 1000-1150°F (538-621°C).
