  • Chromium (Cr): 1.90% – 2.60%
  • Molybdenum (Mo): 0.30% – 0.50%

  • Vanadium (V): 0.05% – 0.25%
  • Silicon (Si): 0.80% – 1.00%
  • Phosphorus (P): ≤ 0.030%
  • Sulfur (S): ≤ 0.030%

P20 Steel (DIN 1.2311 steel grade) is an alloyed steel designed for use in a variety of tooling applications where toughness and dimensional stability are required.

DIN 1.2311 grade/P20 Steel is often supplied in a pre-hardened state (around 28–32 HRC) and can be further hardened through heat treatment if necessary.

The chromium content helps improve corrosion resistance, while the molybdenum and vanadium contribute to strength and wear resistance.
