Description
1.2316 ESR Steel.
1.2316 ESR Steel is a chrome & molybdenum base steel.
ESR grade 1.2316 improved corrosion resistance properties.
1.2316 possesses good polishability and toughness.
also have heat resistance and wear-resistant properties.
ESR grade 1.2316 is commonly used for plastic molds.
that grade of steel offers a higher corrosion resistance than 1.2083.
DIN 1.2316 and X38CrMo16 are equivalent grades of steel.
you can use it in the same applications with no problem.
We give typical applications of that steels below:-
you can make high-quality Injection molds for plastics.
and also used them to make die-casting molds.
make a molding of corrosive material (PVC), extrusion tools.
1. Chemical Composition 1.2316 ESR Steel.

2. Softening Annealing.
Heating to 850°C for heat insulation and cooling to 650°C at 10°C/h air cooling.
3. Quenching.
1020-1030°C quenching rapid air cooling.
4. Tempering of 1.2316 ESR Steel.
Tempering temperature 250°C, (favorable tenacity and corrosion resistance): selecting tempering temperature as per hardness requirements; tempering for twice.
